Closed Beta Agreement

Thank you for testing Manafall. Here's what we ask in return, in short: what you see in the beta stays in the beta.

THE SHORT VERSION

  • Please don't share screenshots, videos, streams, data-mined files or details of the game publicly while the beta is closed.
  • Do talk about it with other testers in our official Discord beta channels, and send us everything with /bug, /feedback and /wish.
  • Things will break and progress may be wiped. That's what the beta is for.
  • When we lift this agreement (we'll announce it), you're free to share.

This Closed Beta Agreement is between you and Master Quest, Inc. ("we", "us") and applies while you take part in the closed beta of The Legend of Manafall (the "Beta"). It adds to the Terms of Use and the EULA.

1. What's confidential

Everything about the Beta that we haven't made public ourselves is confidential: the game itself (its content, maps, story, classes, items, systems and art), test builds and patch notes shown only to testers, the Test realm, and what we tell testers about plans. Things we publish (on this website's public pages, in public announcements or trailers) are not confidential.

2. What we ask of you

  • Don't post, stream, record for publication, or otherwise share confidential information outside the official tester channels, and don't share your access (your account or a beta key) with anyone.
  • Talking with other testers in our official Discord beta channels, and sending us reports and feedback, is welcome.
  • If something confidential leaks through you by accident, let us know so we can deal with it.

3. Your feedback

Your bug reports, feedback, wishes and screenshots help shape the game. You allow us to use them freely to develop and improve it, without payment or credit.

4. It's a test

  • Beta builds have bugs, may crash, and may be offline at times.
  • Characters, items, Gems and progress may be changed or reset at any time, including at the end of the Beta.
  • Access to the Beta is a privilege, not a purchase: we may end it for anyone, for example for breaking this agreement.

5. How long it lasts

This agreement lasts until we announce that it is lifted, or two years after you last took part in the Beta, whichever comes first. Breaking it may cost you your Beta access and your account.
