End User License Agreement

What you may do with the game and launcher you install.

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Master Quest, Inc. ("we", "us"). It covers the software you download and install: The Legend of Manafall game client, the Manafall launcher and their updates (the "Software"). The Terms of Use cover your account and our online services; both apply when you play.

1. Your license

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install the Software on computers you own or control and to use it to play The Legend of Manafall through our official services, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may stream and share videos of the Game when the Game is public (during the closed beta, the Closed Beta Agreement applies instead).

2. What you may not do

  • copy, sell, rent, lend or redistribute the Software, or offer it from another website;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify it, except where the law allows this anyway;
  • create, use or share cheats, bots, hacks, unofficial servers or tools that connect to our services in place of the Software;
  • remove copyright notices or the like;
  • use the Software for anything illegal.

3. Ownership

The Software and everything in it (code, art, music, characters, story, names and logos) belong to Master Quest, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You get to use them under this EULA; you don't own them. Some parts are open-source components used under their own licenses (for example the Godot Engine under the MIT license); their notices come with the Software and those licenses apply to those parts.

4. Updates and online play

The Software needs an internet connection and an account. The launcher installs updates by itself; some updates are needed to keep playing. The Software sends us information needed to run and protect the Game (your game version, connection details, crash and performance information, and what you choose to send with /bug).

5. Ending the license

You can end this EULA by uninstalling the Software. It ends by itself if you break it or if your account is closed. When it ends, stop using the Software and delete it.

6. Warranty and liability

The Software is provided "as is", without warranties to the extent the law allows. It is beta software and may have bugs. Our liability is limited as described in the Terms of Use. Nothing here limits consumer rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
